The Utah Fun Dome (49th Street Galleria)
#1
The fun Dome was down sized in 2003 and closed in 2004 does anyone know what happened to the rides, most of all the carousel?

My uncle would take me their as a little kid, I loved it! The Mini Golf course was one of the best and Tornado!

I don't know what happened to the Bertazzon Double Decker Carousel, but I'm sure it was sold. They were pretty popular in the 1980s so there are still many around. All other Rides were from Wisdom, so I'm willing to guess they were Sold to other FECs or back to Wisdom where they may have been refurbished and re-sold. Smile

As for the mini golf, there were Two Very Good Courses back in the Day and it was well maintained, when it was the 49th Street Galleria. Once it was turned into the Fun Dome, Quality dropped and they actually removed part of one of the Courses to put in the Gravitron, which was a shame. Wink

Ah yes. I remember the days of the 49th Street Galleria. Actually, that was the only time I ever went there, and I was about 6 at the time. I just remember tons of people and a motion simulator and thinking I could easily get lost.

I remember the Bumper Cars on the lowest level, that was the only ride that was built into the building as I recall.

2nd floor - Arcade, Dragon Coaster, Tornado and a few others
Main floor - Mini Golf, Carousel, Stage, Motion Theater, Laser Tag, Restaurant, Bowling and gift shop
Lower level - Bumper Cars, Train....?
Outside - Mini Golf\

I also recall that there was Bungie Jumping right before it closed is that what this was?

There were also electric go-karts on the main floor (built into the building .. the whole area stunk of ozone).
