This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between linear induction motors and linear synchronous motors?
Some of the Differences are........
  • Fins
    • LIMs - Trains Use Aluminum Fins that pass through the Linear Induction Motors
    • LSMs - Trains Use Plates of Rare Earth Metals that pass over Linear Sychronos Motors (Stators) that are Magnetised

    • LIMs are Less Efficient than LSMs
