I came home from work and saw this post on Instagram from Lagoon announcing they will be retiring Jet Star 2 after this season. I am heart broken. Jet Star 2 has been one of my favorite coasters for a long time. I will miss it.

I do have to call Lagoon out on one thing from their recent Fun Time Newsletter. They state that Nutcracker’s 105 static height is taller than Wicked’s tower. Wicked’s tower stands 110 feet tall, so Wicked is taller. Nutcracker’s swinging height will definitely go higher than Wicked.
Lagoon shared this image of Nutcracker in a recent Fun Time Newsletter, and I have to say, I can’t wait to see the actual ride in action next to Wild Mouse. This looks so awesome!

We now know a little more about The Atrium (upper area of Peacock Parlour and Carousel Candy). According to an article by the Salt Lake Tribune, it will become a private club similar to Disney’s Club 33 and feature two themed rooms.

Have you seen Lagoon’s July promotion yet? It’s pretty good if you don’t have a season pass and plan to buy 2 or more single-day passes this month.
You do have to purchase them online at LagoonPark.com, so fees do apply as well as taxes, but it still makes it out to be a pretty decent deal.
